I had just gotten a new laptop for my birthday. I was so excited because that is what I really wanted. My husband bought it for me and surprised me with it. He was being really sneaky about it, and had it hidden really well. I had no idea that it was in the house for almost two months. When I got it, the first thing I did was start surfing the Internet. For the first two days, I practically spent all my time on it. I only stopped using it to eat, wash up, and sleep.

During the time that I teach computer software subjects before in one of the prestigious schools in our city, I handled web design. Among my students, I discover a couple of potentially good web designer in the future. They have very creative minds in their designs and they are skilful on their craft. After I resigned from my teaching job, I do not have contacts with my students anymore. I never thought that I will need their services in the future.

Growing up I never was into using the computer all that much. In fact, I pretty much told all my friends I didn't like the computer, and could live without one. That was back then, and I had no idea what I was talking about. Now, it seems that I can't get myself off the computer. Between the social networking, buying on-line, web designing, and my favourite web site. I can't imagine being without my computer and the Internet. I got interested in web designing from one of my friends. He was using the same web site I was using, and I befriended him on the site. What caught my attention about him was his good hearted nature, and his user name on the site. We started talking on the site, and eventually became really good friends. We've know each other over two years now, and we talk often. He lives in a different state, so that is why we have never met face-to-face. But I would like to one of these days soon. He is also into web designing, and he is the one who got me interested in it in the first place.

In the fast-paced society today, technology really plays an important role for all of us. As a student, I know that I should also be updated with these technologies and take part in its progress. I am inclined in arts and I love computers. I like surfing the net to see the many ways advertising is used in web designs today. The pop-up windows that we see today are also of a better quality than ever before. They used to pop-up after many seconds if not minutes after a stall from the browser. That used to be so annoying. I think that was because they were new. Also, we weren’t used to seeing them. At first they would cause the web browser to stall until they appeared, not so much anymore. I think we are doing a better job in the development of web designs than ever before.

I was reading this book for a computer class one time and it had different words in this chapter that I was reading. One of the phrases it had was internet explorer. One phrase I am familiar with is internet explorer. The reason I am familiar with it is I have that on my computer at home.
